Frequently Asked Questions related to GO! Campaigns

Do I need to activate Meta to launch GO! campaigns?

Activating Meta is not required to run a GO! Campaign, but it is recommended to ensure optimal performance and reach.

What are coupons? Can I add coupons to GO! campaigns?

Coupons are static image assets that can be incorporated into your advertising banners to promote temporary on-site sales or special offers. They function as an additional visual layer superimposed on top of banners within the Display inventory, strategically designed to capture end-users' attention and highlight limited-time promotions.

Yes, coupons can be included in GO! campaigns just as you would in a standard campaign. This allows you to run promotional offers directly within the GO! environment.

How many ads can I activate in a GO! campaign set up?

In GO!, you’re limited to one ad per inventory type. This means that for each campaign you can only run one display ad (dynamic, showcase, or adaptive) and one ad for native and social.

What display ad formats can I activate in GO!?

If you have a product catalog, you can run dynamic ads for your Drive conversions and Acquire new customer campaigns.
For your Drive website traffic campaigns, we recommend Showcase ads. In case you do not have a product catalog in place, you can run your GO! campaigns with adaptive ads.

Can I include a product set in a GO! campaign?

No, GO! Campaigns don’t support product sets.

A product set lets you manually choose which products to show in your ads. But GO! is designed to work automatically,  it uses Criteo’s AI to pick the best products for each user based on their behavior.

Because of this, product sets aren’t included in GO! to keep everything fully automated and optimized.

If you switch an ad set with a product set to GO!, it will be removed during the transition.

Can I schedule budgets for GO! campaigns?

Yes, you can schedule them for your Daily budgets.

What happens when you launch a campaign mid-month?

When you start a campaign in the middle of the month, we'll recalculate your average daily spend and show it below the input box. For the rest of the month, we'll adjust spending to match your monthly limit. After that, your set daily budget will apply as normal.

If you adjust your monthly limit to spend a lower value to account for a partial month of campaign run time, be sure to adjust your budget to your desired value the following month.

Can I apply a geolocation filter to my GO! campaigns?

No, at the moment, it's not possible to add a custom geolocation filter to GO! campaigns.
Please note that Drive New Traffic and Acquire New Customers campaigns automatically target users within the same country as your website.
In contrast, Retargeting campaigns can reach users who have previously visited your website, regardless of their location, as long as they’re considered potential buyers.

Can GA optimization be activated for GO! campaigns?

Since GO! relies on its own built-in optimization logic, activating Google Analytics (GA) Optimization is not compatible with this campaign type. If you need more control over optimization settings, a custom campaign might be a better fit.

Do GO! campaigns support all optimizers (BO, AO, Max CPC)?

GO! campaigns support only standard optimizers, including BO (Budget Optimizer) and AO (Advanced Optimizer).

When switching an existing campaign to GO!, the system will automatically select the most appropriate optimizer typically BO or AO  based on the campaign objective and setup. This ensures the campaign continues to perform efficiently while aligning with GO!’s automation and optimization framework.

For compliance reasons, I need to show multiple prices in my ads. How can I do this with GO! ?

GO! ads make it easy to meet local compliance regulations, for example you might need to offer the lowest price in the last 30 days. You can choose to display two prices in your banners:

  • Sale price: The price customers will pay during the promotion (Price field in your catalog).

  • Reference price: The lowest price in the last 30 days (Retail price field in your catalog).

To make sure everything is correct and up to date:

  • Fill in the Price field with the promotional price.

  • Fill in the Retail price field with the lowest price the product has been sold for in the past 30 days.

Keeping these fields accurate will ensure your ads always display the right information.
